The planar sculptures, constructed between 1975 and 1976, were about presenting intersecting planes that were in opposition to one another. The flat and curvilinear planes that moved in and out, up and down (Delph, Wish, Zambezi) were set
up so as to get the viewer visually moving around these sculptures. The various planes moved up, down, expanded, contracted and presented themselves in a Baroque manner to draw the audience into the sculptures both visually and physically. The viewer was invited to explore these sculptures by walking around them or by entering them to experience a different understanding of the sculptures. This body of work was made as 1/3 of the projected final scale.
