2011 ushered in my third distinct work period with the re-examination of abstraction begun with the “Avanti” series. Colour re-emerged with this series, tonally, using liquid patinas to alter the colouration of the tin and copper surfaces.
Until 2016, linear elements were flat to the surface or barely raised off the surface. 2016 witnessed the flat linear elements physically reach out into the viewer's space with the “Wrap” series. This series introduced strong chromatic colours using the powder coating process.
2017 saw a return to the use of flat planes to support the raised three-dimensional lines. The coloured grounds that the linear elements interacted on were not only flat but irregular.
By 2019 the compositions of only two or three colours exploded to as many as 7 different colours to define the final composition.
